A general survey of the history of the Ancient Near East as it pertains to the background out of which the Tanach was written, giving the student the ability to understand the history of ancient Israel within a historical framework.
In this class we cover: Arameans, Ammonites, Moav, Edom, Neo-Assyrians, Babylonians, Medes and Persians, Handwriting in the ANE

The second installment of the World of the Tanach. You do not have to take World of the Tanach 1 to enroll or understand the materials in this class.
This class features lectures in audio MP3 format and student notes in PDF along with slides for the student to follow along. A significant bibliography for those who would like to purchase more books, visit websites and find articles is found in the introduction.
Further materials can be found in certain weeks with extra information and videos on certain topics.
